About farm and animals
Breeding is our passion
Diversity a fundamental idea
Our philosophy
As a farmer, you don’t have a day off, so you have to find something maintain affection to your work. We have found this passion in animal husbandry.
With the challenges and tasks set there, a bond is formed between man and animal.
Thus, every birth is hope and joy.
Diversity on the farm
An agriculture for self-sufficiency and landscape design is our goal.
Thus, every animal in the barn fulfills its purpose – whether as a “lawn mower” for steep slopes, for milk production for the breakfast buffet, for quality meat production for us and our guests or as a climate-neutral means of transport.
Help in the stable
In winter there is always a lot to do in the stable. But even in summer there is work to be done with the animals. Mucking out the stables, feeding the animals or taking them out to pasture – anyone who feels like it is welcome to join us for all these things.
Homemade products
The animals supply us with milk for dairy products and meat.
From the garden herbs are processed to fresh teas and salt mixtures.
The harvest of the field provides us with various vegetables over the winter.
Assistance at the field
In summer, the hay harvest is the top priority, because with it we produce the staple food of all our vegetarians in the barn. The collection of the potato beatles is also an important work in summer
Our farm animals
On our farm we breed the Original Braunvieh, an old breed of cattle, which stands for milk and meat quality. Since we are only in the conversion phase here, you can still find the one or other Fleckvieh. Among the horses, we have, in addition to the Haflingers, the native but endangered cold-blood breed Noriker.
We also support the preservation of the carinthian sheep breed called Kärntner Brillenschaf.
In summer we raise 3 to 4 turkeys and the cats, they are anyway indispensable.
